We
are pleased to announce that COSIGN has recently become a member of the International
Association for Semiotic Studies (IASS-AIS). This association was founded in
1969 and founding members included Greimas, Jakobson, Kristeva, Benveniste,
Sebeok, and Lotman.
The IASS-AIS has over 1,500 members in 65 countries, and is the foremost organisation for those studying or working in the field of semiotics and sign systems. The publication Semiotica is the official journal of the IASS-AIS.
